Children with strong social and emotional skills are more likely to be successful in school and in life than children who do not have these skills. In the Three's Nursery School Class we focus primarily on these skills of self-confidence, self-control and the ability to make friends. We also know that young children learn best through hands-on exploration. We, therefore, set up our Three's classroom with centers for the children to discover and develop many new skills that they will need as they move into the Pre-Kindergarten classroom next year and beyond.
Our Three's Nursery School class is a structured schedule made up of a circle time with a short academic lesson, a fun hands-on project that is related to the theme of the week and is age-appropriate, music and movement, a story time, center/play time and a large motor time either inside or outside depending on the weather. Basic beginning academic skills will be covered in the curriculum through dynamic group lessons and academic hands-on materials. The Nursery School children will also learn some Christian bible stories and fun Christian songs and fingerplays. Each year the children will take part in a fun and exciting Christmas pageant that the entire family will want to attend.
Our Three's Nursery School class is three hours long from 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM. We will be offering a three day program that runs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and children must be totally potty trained to attend. We will also be offering a two day transition program that runs on Tuesday and Thursday. Children will need to be in the process of potty training and wearing pull-ups not diapers to attend this class. Parents have the option to sign up for both classes and make it a five day program.
